Posterstein Castle, also called Stein, is a hilltop castle on a rocky outcrop above the right bank of the Sprotte River in Posterstein in the Altenburger Land district of Thuringia. The hilltop castle originated from a small ministerial castle from the late 12th century, which was built over in the Renaissance period.
