Casino Hohensyburg, one of four casinos in North Rhine-Westphalia, was built from 1983 to 1985 according to plans by architect Harald Deilmann near Hohensyburg Castle in Dortmund and is the third casino in NRW. Casino Hohensyburg is a good example of Harald Deilmann's clear and hard architectural style. The casino Hohensyburg belongs to the company WESTSPIEL which maintains among others the casino Aachen, casino Bad Oeynhausen, casino Duisburg and at two other locations in Germany such facilities. Until the opening of the Duisburg casino, the Dortmund casino was the highest-turnover casino in Germany.
