Burg Limperich, Bonn
Facts and practical information
Limperich Castle is a former castle complex in Limperich, a district of the Bonn borough of Beuel in North Rhine-Westphalia.
The castle was first mentioned in 1285 as the property of a noble family and also served as the seat of the Lords of Limperich. The estate was sold to Frank Nesselrode in 1688, who transformed it into a Baroque manor house.
The castle has undergone many renovations, conversions, relocations and demolitions and is therefore no longer an estate, but rather resembles an ordinary house with a large plot of land. Since it was rented in 1964, it has served as the club home of the Bonn chapter of the German Amateur Radio Club and the Interessengemeinschaft Bonner Funkamateure zur Förderung der Völkerverständigung und Internationalen Gesinnung. The building with the address Weinbergweg 34 is a listed building.
