Schminke House - a modernist house of the Hans Scharune project, located in the German Löbau. It belongs to the greatest works of German modernism.
The building was built in 1930-1933 for the Fritz Schminke and his wife-Charlotte. It was to serve two adults, four children and two possible guests. The spacious interiors have been developed using numerous curves and rounded lines. The house flows down to the garden in a kind, creating a meshed space with it. The interior design was designed strictly for the needs of this building, both in terms of layout, forms and colors.
The family was expropriated after World War II, because it worked closely with the Wehrmacht. In 1978 the house was entered in the register of monuments.
