Facts and practical information
The Carmelite Church of St. Joseph and St. Mary Magdalene in Würzburg was built by Antonio Petrini between 1662 and 1669. The cruciform Baroque building with a well-structured facade is the convent church of the Würzburg Carmelite monastery of St. Maria Magdalena. It was not until 1997 to 2001 that the church received a new interior to replace the one that had perished in World War II. It is still popularly referred to as the Reuererkirche.
