Facts and practical information
Tremoniapark is a green and recreational area on the site of the former ironworks "Carl von Born" south of the former Tremonia and Rothe Erde colliery in Dortmund, which was used as an experimental pit long after coal mining ceased. Tremonia is also the Latin name used in the Middle Ages for the city of Dortmund. The park is one of the typical examples of structural change in Dortmund.
