The German Road Museum is a museum in the Palatinate town of Germersheim.
It is the only museum in Germany that deals comprehensively with the subject of roads. It was founded in 1989 by private initiative of some road builders and shows exhibits from the early days to the present of road and especially bridge building on an exhibition area of about 5,000 square meters.
The museum is financed by the federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate, donations and contributions from its members.
The museum is housed in the former armory of the Germersheim Fortress.
