Facts and practical information

St. Martin's Chapel in Bürgstadt, a market town in the Lower Franconian district of Miltenberg, was probably built in the first half of the 10th century. It is considered one of the oldest churches in Franconia. It served as a Catholic parish church until the construction of the church of St. Margaret, which was first mentioned in a document in 1247. Wall and ceiling paintings from the 16th century have been preserved in St. Martin's Chapel. The chapel is one of the protected architectural monuments in Bavaria.
