For several centuries, the ruler of Sascy, thanks to diplomatic gifts, shopping and loot acquired in the battles with the Turks, gathered an unparalleled collection of oriental works of art. The collection is also an expression of the growing interest of Saxon rulers with the art and custom of the orient, because some exhibits were created under Turkish influence in European workshops. The collection consists of: oriental weapons, decorative saddles and rows, costumes, tents, banners and other works of art created from the 16th to the 19th century.
