Öömrang Ferian i. f. is a local history and culture association on the North Sea island of Amrum, founded in 1974, with about 380 members. The aim of the association is to maintain Amrum's history and culture, including the North Frisian dialect Öömrang; since 1980 there is also a natural history branch. The association has been in charge of the Amrum dunes nature reserve and the Amrum landscape conservation area since 1983. Together with the Wadden Sea Protection Station, the Öömrang Ferian has also looked after part of the Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea National Park since 2001. Furthermore, the association runs a local history museum in Nebel, the Öömrang Hüs, as well as the natural history exhibition Maritur at the Norddorf beach crossing. The nature center offers a variety of guided tours.
