Facts and practical information
Wrisbergholzen Castle is a castle in the district of Wrisbergholzen in the municipality of Sibbesse in Lower Saxony. It was built between 1740 and 1745 by Baron Rudolf Johann von Wrisberg in the Baroque style. In front of the three-winged castle complex there are six large baroque farm buildings on an estate, between whose narrow passage is the old main access road to the castle. Behind the castle there was a baroque garden during the 18th century, which was redesigned and extended to an English landscape park in the 19th century and has been under nature conservation since 1984 as "Alter Schlosspark Wrisbergholzen". The castle is recognized as a "monument of national importance".
