Theresienturm, Heilbronn
Facts and practical information
The Theresienturm is an elevated bunker on the Theresienwiese in Heilbronn in northern Baden-Württemberg. The tower was built in 1940 and named after the former Chief of Staff of the Luftwaffe, General Walther Wever, General Wever Tower. It survived the numerous air raids on Heilbronn almost without damage, but after the access ramp was blown up in 1951, it was only accessible via ladders or scaffolding until a new entrance structure was built in 2019. The tower has been a listed building since the 1990s. It received its current name in 2016.
