At 13 meters high and weighing 90 tons, the S-Printing Horse in Heidelberg is one of the largest horse sculptures in the world, designed by sculptor Jürgen Goertz. The sculptor's idea was implemented by Fröhlich Systemautomation GmbH Sondermaschinen- und Vorrichtungsbau, based in Treuchtlingen in central Franconia.
The sculpture is made of stainless steel and aluminum and reached its final form through various processing methods. It was manufactured by the contract manufacturer Kinkele in Ochsenfurt and brought to Heidelberg by six heavy transports.
The sculpture has stood on the forecourt of the Print Media Academy, an office and training building of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG, since 2000.
