The Arche Warder zoo is a zoo and country park located on Autobahn 7 in the municipality of Warder near Kiel in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Arche Warder is Europe's largest zoo for rare and endangered breeds of domestic and farm animals. Approximately 1200 animals from 82 breeds as well as 7 wild animal species live on 40 hectares of park area and 70 hectares of leased agricultural land. Arche Warder is a recognized nature experience area in Schleswig-Holstein. In 2018, the park was awarded as an official project of the UN Decade for Biodiversity.
The sponsor is the association Arche Warder - Center for old domestic and farm animal breeds, founded in 2003, which aims to preserve and protect endangered domestic and farm animal breeds with the help of a park. The park was taken over in the same year with the help of the environmental protection organization Greenpeace and reopened in May 2004. A farm store sells sausage delicacies from the animal park. The animal world can be experienced overnight in rustic cabins. There are also two vacation apartments.
