Facts and practical information
With an area of 70 hectares, Südpark is the largest and also most visited park in the North Rhine-Westphalian state capital Düsseldorf. It was created according to designs by the Südpark planning group for the 1987 Federal Garden Show by extending the existing Volksgarten with new park areas laid out on former fallow land. The resulting Südpark consists of three differently designed areas.
