The Harburg, formerly also called Haarburg or Hardenberg, is a departed medieval hilltop castle near Wernigerode in the Harz Mountains in Saxony-Anhalt.
Nothing remains of the castle built around 1150. At its former location, there are now remains of the castle mound with a castle square of 16 by 52 meters. There is an excursion restaurant on the castle mound, which was reopened in the summer of 2018.
Until 1956, a Bismarck monument stood on the grounds of the Harburg. Today, this is commemorated by the name of the newly erected observation tower: Bismarck Tower.
