The Waterloosäule is a 46.31-meter-high victory column in the Calenberger Neustadt district of Hanover. It was erected on Waterlooplatz in the years from 1825 to 1832 to a design by Georg Ludwig Friedrich Laves. It is crowned with a statue of Victoria, the goddess of victory derived from Roman mythology. Its style is based on classical antiquity and follows the Doric column order.
