Inaugurated in 1906, the neo-Romanesque sacred building is considered a masterpiece of historicism and a building of national importance from the point of view of monument preservation. Together with the Gerhard Uhlhorn Church, the church belongs to the Evangelical Lutheran Parish of Linden-Nord.
