The Fruchthalle in Kaiserslautern was built between 1843 and 1846 according to plans by August von Voit in the neo-Renaissance style, modeled on the Italian early Renaissance. The architect Ferdinand Jodl was responsible for the extension of the large hall as Voit's collaborator.
