Cisowa Turnia, Tatra National Park
Facts and practical information
Cisowa Turnia - a reglow peak rising on the south side above the Biały Potok and Siwa Polana clearings in the Polish West Tatras. It is the end of the northwest ridge of Kominiarski Wierch separating the Lejowa Valley from the Chochołowska Valley. The Macicki Gorge cuts into the western slopes of the Cisowa Turnia.
The Cisowa Turnia is built of the Eocene sedimentary rocks of the Choč plateau. It is completely forested, not available for tourists, and only at its foot leads the green tourist trail from the Biały Potok Glade to the Chochołowska Valley. It is located within the territory of the Tatra National Park, but is owned by the Forest Community of Eight Villages, which conducts logging and forest management there under the control of the park.
