Klinowa Czuba, Tatra National Park
Facts and practical information
Klinowa Czuba - an alpine elevation in the Western Tatras, surrounded by the Chocholowska Valley. From the southern side Klinowa Czuba rises above the Hutiańska Valley, in the northern direction it forms a ridge that separates the main course of the Chochołowska Valley from its branch - Wielka Suchej Dolina. In the lower part of this ridge from the side of Chocholowska Valley cuts parallel to it Koziniecki Żleb. In the east direction the saddle Klinowe Siodło separates Klinowa Czuba from Wierch Kuc.
Klinowa Chuba is completely forested. It used to be called Kliny in the past, because there are several ridges extending from its top. One of these ridges named Hutinsky Wedge runs away in south-west direction. In the past the area was used for mining, metal ores were mined in mines called Huciany banya. In 1990 on Klinowa Czuba was found a single specimen of Scots Pine, rare in the Tatra Mountains, and 8 young, probably planted ones.
