The naming of the liter peak comes from the Litworowa valley below. In the past, together with the Wieliczka peak, he was determined by the collective term of the High Gerlachian - due to their location near Gerlach. The German and Hungarian name of the summit commemorated Wilhelm Wagner, activist of the MKE Silesian Section, but they did not gain popularity. Earlier measurements determined the peak height at 2431 m, 2423 m or 2413 m.
