The Casona de Espina, with its Tower and Portalada in Ampuero, is an Asset of Cultural Interest, with the category of Monument, by Decree 54/1994, of 7 December.

La Casona de Espina, with its Tower and Portalada is in the neighborhood of Bárcena, n.º 8 of Ampuero. A delimitation is established around the mansion and the tower of 8 meters from the lines of the north facades of the mansion and the tower; twenty meters from the line of the south facade of the tower and eight meters from the line of the east facade of the mansion, forming around the tower and the mansion an imaginary rectangle.

Since 2014 it is a museum dedicated to the Espina family.
