Facts and practical information
Stolpe Castle is the ruins of a hilltop castle on a hill above Stolpe, since 2003 a district of the city of Angermünde, about 15 kilometers southeast of the city center in the district of Uckermark in Brandenburg. With an outer diameter of 18 meters, the tower is probably the strongest keep in Germany. Even though the tower is called a keep, it is a donjon because it was inhabited. Based on a legend, the tower is popularly called Grützpott.
