The Gerhart Hauptmann House. German-East European Forum is the seat of the foundation of the same name and is located at Bismarckstraße 90 in Düsseldorf. The building was constructed by Walter Kroner and Bruno Lambart from 1960 to 1962. The foundation serves the examination of contemporary European and German history and features an extensive special library on the history of East Central and Eastern Europe.
