The Dölitz Gatehouse is the structural remnant of a noble residence, Dölitz Castle in the village of Dölitz, which today belongs to Leipzig. Large parts of Dölitz Castle and with it the gatehouse were built in the last third of the 17th century. The gatehouse contains a pewter figurine museum, whose collection of about 100,000 pewter figurines is one of the three largest in the world open to the public.
