Leipzig Wildlife Park is a zoo on the southern outskirts of Leipzig in the Connewitz district. It is located in the Leipzig Auenwald and is 42 hectares in size.
The Leipzig Game Park shows, with free admission, about 25 species of animals with about 250 animals that live or have lived in Central Europe or have become native here. Red, fallow and mouflon deer have a common large enclosure. There are also extensive enclosures for deer, wild boar, elk and bison. Lynx, otters, wild cats, raccoons, mink, red foxes and the European mink are kept in open outdoor enclosures.
An exhibition room is available for the presentation of exhibitions and for events. On a special adventure trail, visitors to the game park have the opportunity to observe game without barriers. Gastronomic services within the park are provided by the teahouse housed in a Russian log cabin, the game park restaurant and a snack bar. There are two playgrounds in the park area: The Märchenburg forest playground at the main entrance Koburger Straße and the Märchen playground behind the Russian teahouse.
A pile with an open fireplace can be rented for private parties.
On the territory of the game park are the Jungfernlache and Panichs Lache, two oxbow lakes of the Pleiße and Weißer Elster in their common floodplain.
