Facts and practical information
The Edinburgh Palace on Coburg's Schlossplatz, designed in the neo-Renaissance style, ideally closes the ensemble of historic buildings between the Landestheater and the arcades of the Hofgarten with its memorial. Situated exactly opposite Ehrenburg Palace, the Edinburgh Palace, formerly known as the "Wangenheim Palace", is a masterpiece of the master builder Georg Konrad Rothbart. In 1865, Alfred, the son of Queen Victoria of Great Britain, acquired it and used it as a residence. Today, the palace belongs to the Coburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
