The St. Mary's Church was erected in II. half. XIII century is the oldest of the three main medieval Greifswald parish churches next to the cathedral of St. Mikołaj and the church of St. Jakub. It was erected in the style of North -German brick Gothic as a thirtawy indoor church deprived of the presbytery. Completed around 1350 with the construction of an intricately decorated eastern summit.
