The so-called Old Castle was one of the oldest surviving half-timbered buildings in the town center of Lage in the district of Lippe in North Rhine-Westphalia. Built in 1618, the listed building was demolished in 2004. Critics accuse the city of Lage of having done nothing to secure it for years.
