Stadtwald is a landscape park and cultivated forest area in the middle of the urban area of Krefeld. It is located in the district of Bockum and covers an area of 120 ha.

In Krefeld's city forest there is a very large meadow with soccer goals, a children's playground, a large branched pond with a pedal boat rental and walking paths. The park area is also home to the Krefeld racecourse, one of the most beautiful racecourses in Germany, a golf course, a field hockey pitch and tennis courts. The Stadtwaldhaus, with one of the largest beer gardens outside Bavaria, offers outdoor seating for about 3,000 day-trippers. The landscape park was included in the Road of Garden Art between the Rhine and Meuse rivers as an outstanding park in 2004/2005.
