The Oekoven light railroad museum is a railroad museum in the Rommerskirchen district of Oekoven, which was established on private initiative. It was founded on January 31, 1976 in Rheydt by a group of railroad enthusiasts. The sponsor of the museum is the registered association "Feld- und Werksbahnmuseum Rommerskirchen-Oekoven e.V.". Today it is known nationwide and is a popular destination for railroad enthusiasts from all over Germany. Admission is free. Under the name Gillbachbahn, the Oekoven light railroad museum operates a 1 km long museum light railroad with 600 mm gauge, on which light railway vehicles are demonstrated in operation.
