The English oak has been listed as a natural monument by the Lower Nature Conservation Authority of the Pinneberg district with the number 01/03 since December 19, 1997. The age of the oak is given as about 600-650 years. Due to regular tree care, the oak is in a very good condition with only small amounts of deadwood in the crown. The trunk is partially hollowed out and protected from further damage by wire mesh. The tree has a relatively small crown with a diameter of up to 17 meters.
