City Hall, Büsum
Facts and practical information
Büsum Town Hall in the district of Dithmarschen is a listed administrative building in the municipality of Büsum in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.
The building was built in the years 1914 to 1915 according to the plans of architect Carl Mannhardt. He designed a two-story building with neo-baroque forms, executed in red brick. The front facade is characterized by a disproportionately wide semicircular central gable. Between the dates of construction, 1914 and 1915, there is a relief of Clement of Rome, the patron saint of the parish of Büsum. The rear side, which adjoins St. Clement's Church, appears rather massive due to a protruding central section.
In front of the building is the Kaiser Wilhelm Square with a memorial to the fallen from the First and Second World Wars.
