Bürgerbüro, Spremberg

The Bürgerhaus Spremberg is a modern building created from the conversion of a GDR prefabricated building directly on the market square of the city of Spremberg. It is characterized by modern, innovative architecture and efficient management. Particularly striking and not yet implemented in this way in Germany is the fact that wall and roof surfaces merge into one another, are executed in the same material and treated in the same color. Due to the sensitive location, the population participated in the conversion of the former workers' dormitory into a "community center" to an unprecedented extent.
