The Mausoleum in Bückeburg Castle Park is the burial place of the Princely House of Schaumburg-Lippe. It is located in the castle park of Bückeburg, about 50 kilometers west of Hanover.
The mausoleum was built in the years from 1911 to 1915 during the reign of Prince Adolf II according to the plans of the Berlin architect Paul Baumgarten in the neo-Romanesque style. At 43 meters high and 27 meters wide, it is the largest mausoleum of its kind in Europe. The construction costs amounted to over one million marks.
