Facts and practical information

The Glaner Braut is a Neolithic ensemble of four megalithic sites from the Funnel Beaker Culture. The site, with Sprockhoff numbers 948-951, is located near the Lower Saxon district town of Wildeshausen. The structures were built between 3500 and 2800 B.C. Neolithic monuments are an expression of the culture and ideology of Neolithic societies. The passage grave is a construction form of Neolithic megalithic sites, which consists of a chamber and a structurally separated lateral passage. This form is found primarily in Denmark, Germany and Scandinavia, and sporadically in France and the Netherlands.
