Facts and practical information
The Elisabethenbrunnen is one of the most famous fountains in the spa town of Bad Homburg vor der Höhe. The spring and fountain are named after Princess Elisabeth, the wife of Landgrave Frederick VI of Hesse-Homburg and daughter of the British King George III. The water of the fountain is a sodium chloride acidulous. The water temperature is 10.5 degrees. It was used to treat stomach and intestinal diseases. For the public, there is a simply designed tap within sight - on the edge of the spa park - in close proximity to the street.
