Maria vom Frieden is a baroque church in the southern old town of Cologne. The convent church of a convent of the Discalced Carmelite nuns was consecrated in 1692 after several years of construction. The patrocinium refers to an image of Our Lady that was bequeathed to the convent as a legacy in 1642. In April 1942, the church and convent were largely destroyed, but were gradually rebuilt in the old style between 1947 and 1957.
