Facts and practical information
The Lindenanlage near the castle of Neuenstadt am Kocher in the district of Heilbronn in northern Baden-Württemberg is a historic green area in front of the Oberer Torturm, which until April 1945 contained an old linden tree, said to be a thousand years old, which gave Neuenstadt its nickname an der Linde. The old lime tree was destroyed towards the end of World War II, but the site is still covered by the branches of younger trees resting on a supporting structure supported by ornate stone columns.
