The Historic Town Hall of Bocholt is one of the most important historic buildings and the landmark of the city of Bocholt. Since the city administration moved to the "New City Hall" in 1977, it has mainly had a representative function. In addition to cultural events of all kinds, the mayor's New Year's reception is held annually in the council hall on the second floor. The building is also used for wedding ceremonies: Bocholt's registry office is located on the second floor. The basement and parts of the first floor are used by a catering business.
