Wasserspiele, Aachen
Facts and practical information
Wasserspiele is the name of a fountain by the sculptor Philipp Anton from Aachen in the Aachen district of Burtscheid, which was inaugurated on September 30, 1969.
The fountain is located in the small courtyard facing Malmedyer Straße and Berdoletstraße in front of the Gemeinschaftshauptschule Burtscheid. It is made of stainless steel. Its special feature is that the water initially escaping from nozzles of the spirally ascending pipe hits basin-like discs as it falls back and makes them sound.
