The Bochum Jewish Cemetery is located on Wasserstraße in the Wiemelhausen district of Bochum. The first burials in this Jewish cemetery took place in 1918.
The brick mourning hall was built in 1917. The cemetery with its cemeteries, fountains and mourning hall was registered as a monument under the number 529 in 2001.
52 graves belong to victims of forced labor in Bochum and Wattenscheid, 2 urns to victims from Oranienburg concentration camp and Dachau concentration camp.
In 1954, graves were moved here when two Jewish cemeteries on Friedhofstraße / Wittener Straße in Bochum were abandoned due to the construction of the new Bochum Central Station.
The cemetery is registered in the monument list of the city of Bochum under the number A 529.
