Church of St. Johann im Gnadenthal - Catholic Church in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany.
It is a monastery church of a local female order based on the third rule of St. Francis, residing in a building located next to the building, called the "Gnadenthal monastery". A simple, single -nave building without a transept was built in 1276 and is covered with a gable roof, topped with a signature without a tower. In 1487, the church was under the direction of a masonry master named Mörsheimer rebuilt in the late Gothic style. In the years 1697-1698 a baroque northern portal was created.
The old patrons of the altar were Saint. John the Baptist and Saint. Jan Evangelist. Today at the southern wall of the nave we will find a valuable wooden sculptural group, depicting St. Anna Samotnie - the work of Hans Leinberger from 1513. Originally, which is undoubtedly the central part of the late Gothic triptych. Valuable equipment is complemented by the so -called Madonna of Landshut - a wooden sculpture dated 1522. Originally located in the Franciscan monastery in Landshut. The paintings covering the walls of the presbytery, completed in 1953, were performed by a member of the local religious community, sister of Euphemia Blaschke.
