Haus Stapel near Havixbeck, North Rhine-Westphalia, is one of the largest moated castles in Westphalia. The main house, completed in 1827, was built in the style of classicism by Ernst Konstantin von Droste zu Hülshoff, the older outer castle dates from the Baroque period, and the complex was the seat of the von Kerckerinck hereditary family for centuries.
