Facts and practical information

The Church of the Sacred Heart in Bockum is a Roman Catholic filial church. The once independent Herz-Jesu parish is now part of the Heilig-Geist parish. Since 2006, the sacred building is on the monument list of the city of Hamm. On January 15, 2019, the church interior and sacristy were completely smoked or sooted by a smoldering fire. Since then, the church has been closed. The diocese of Münster informed the parish on November 21, 2019 that it would be deconsecrated.
