Facts and practical information
The Strong Left is a sculpture by Austrian sculptor Alfred Hrdlicka, who died in 2009, in Wuppertal-Unterbarmen. It caused a local uproar until its installation due to its late completion and skyrocketing costs. Until the installation of the Engels Monument in 2014, the Hrdlicka sculpture was also sometimes referred to as the Friedrich Engels Monument.
