Facts and practical information
The Buschei nature reserve is an extensive forest area in the east of Dortmund and includes parts of the districts of Brackel and Kurl. It has an area of 77.3980 ha. In the north, the nature reserve borders on the railroad line of the Cöln-Minden railroad, near the Dortmund-Scharnhorst railroad station and the Alte Körne nature reserve behind it. It adjoins to the south of the renaturalized Körnebach stream. In 1999, it was temporarily secured by the Arnsberg district government, and protection was granted on September 2, 2005 by the 1st amendment of the Dortmund-Nord and Dortmund-Mitte landscape plans.
