Entenfang, Mülheim
Facts and practical information
The Entenfang is a small lake created by gravel excavations in Mülheim an der Ruhr on the city border with Duisburg-Wedau. The popular excursion destination is located between the Duisburg city forest and the Broich-Speldorfer forest with the Uhlenhorst. Its western shore largely forms the city border with Duisburg. The lake is fed by the Saarner brooks Rottbach and Wambach.
The lake is only about 400 m away from the Duisburg Six-Lakes Plateau, but is not counted as part of it because of its significantly earlier formation and its location on the other side of the Duisburg-Lintorf railroad line. The A 3 freeway runs a good 100 m to the east in a north-south direction.
