The Haus auf der Alb in Bad Urach on the northern edge of the Swabian Alb was built in 1929/30 as a merchants' recreation home in the style of classical modernism. After a varied history of use, it has been a listed building since 1983 and has been used as a conference center for the Baden-Württemberg State Agency for Civic Education since 1992.
